Role Summary
Global Immigration Engagement Management services are vital for our global growth plans and will ensure the success of our GMS Immigration practice. The Global Engagement Management team is a network of professionals across the world who support our KPMG firms in their objectives of providing consistently exceptional services to our clients.
As a member of the Global Immigration Engagement Management client service team, you will supervise and manage engagements and other related activities under the general direction of partners, directors, and/or senior managers. This role provides an exciting opportunity to contribute to initiatives with global impact, working collaboratively with senior leadership, clients, and key stakeholders to ensure the successful delivery of high-profile projects.
The Manager Daily Activity Will Include But Not Limited:
- Responsible for client relations and day-to-day management of the engagement together with Lead Member Firm.
- Serve as the first point of contact for complex matters, including client escalations and service delivery issues, showcasing exceptional stakeholder management skills.
- Foster strong relationships with senior leadership, local Member Firms, and Third Party Suppliers to ensure alignment on client engagements and delivery excellence.
- Keep track of work volumes, client wins, and flag resourcing needs to maintain smooth operations and proactively address challenges.
- Support client transitions along with the Transition CoE team and closely monitor team activities during the hyper-care period, ensuring seamless collaboration.
- Manage team activities to ensure compliance with KPMG risk management policies and procedures, effectively balancing operational demands and risk priorities.
- Review and approve client-facing materials (e.g., QBRs, ad hoc reporting, Newsflash communications) before distribution to the Lead Member Firm, ensuring accuracy and professionalism.
- Monitor the Global Coordination & Billing Model and lead discussions on process and technology improvements to drive innovation and efficiency.
- Support the client billing process by reviewing draft invoices prepared by the KDN Operations team and ensuring timely and accurate invoicing.
- Review timesheets and monitor chargeable hours and team utilization, keeping performance aligned with firm and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities
- Process Delivery Excellence: Drive results, manage risks, and effectively lead teams to achieve business goals while maintaining resilience and accountability under pressure. Ensure clear communication, thorough decision-making, and alignment with commitments.
- Risk Management: Ensure team compliance with risk policies, address potential risks, and involve senior management when needed for resolution. Maintain awareness of firm policies and escalate concerns appropriately.
- Global Collaboration: Work closely with senior leadership and high-profile clients, leveraging strong interpersonal skills to build trust and deliver impactful solutions.
- Billing and Client Engagement: Accurately track time bookings, meet chargeable hours targets, manage engagement financials, ensure timely invoicing, and oversee cash collection effectively.
- Technology Utilization: Oversee team responsibilities in tracking systems and ensure timely, technology-generated report distribution as per client agreements.
- Stakeholder Management: Demonstrate exceptional stakeholder management abilities, effectively engaging diverse internal and external audiences to ensure smooth project delivery and client satisfaction.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in the Global Mobility Services/Immigration field, with a demonstrated understanding of immigration processes and common issues; being informed of current immigration developments, trends, and best practices on a global level.
- Ability to analyze complex immigration matters and effectively communicate solutions to external clients in collaboration with our local offices and external vendors.
- Support complex immigration advisory work led by Member Firm offices.
- Working experience within Immigration settings.
- Understand basic and complex application processes.
- Ability to manage multiple Global Immigration clients and to build relationships/trust both with them and the internal teams.
- Relevant University degree.
- Ability to tackle problems under tight deadlines.
- Excellent organizational and prioritization skills.
- Strong professionalism and overall confidence.
- Highly efficient with technology/tools.
- Proficient communicator in written and spoken English (other languages advantageous but not required).
- Strong skills in adaptability, relationship-building, and effective stakeholder management to foster collaboration and drive success.
