Key Responsibilities
- Reviewing complex VAT returns and client data
- Tracking VAT law changes and implementing them into KGSH processes
- Review and sign off of VAT guides
- Training, mentoring and supporting Team Members and the Country Expert community (Facilitate country specific and other training courses)
- Communication with clients and tax authorities
- Preparing VAT newsletters for internal purposes and clients
- Troubleshooting and providing suggested approaches to client issues
- Act as “internal auditor” regarding country specific requirements
- Communication and co-working with other teams within KGSH: (i.e. “internal VAT advisor’ for client management, legal transition, testing, technology)
- Option to take on other supportive roles/projects within the team
Requirements
- College / University Degree
- At least 4 full years of experience in VAT compliance and advisory in the country(ies) in scope
- Tax/VAT Advisor experience is an advantage
- VAT technical knowledge
- Proficient in MS Word, MS Outlook and MS Excel
- Fluent English, native Spanish language knowledge
- Ability to interpret and adapt legal requirements
- Good stakeholder management
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Attention to details
