Role summary:

Head of Finance Operations will be responsible for leading the Finance operations center of KPMG Delivery Network in Budapest, which currently performs a wide range of financial tasks for KPMG Delivery Network group of companies. 

Head of Finance Operations will be responsible for developing, enhancing and running the day-to-day operations and processes, while driving quality and efficiency, and managing a team of finance professionals. The new colleague will also work closely with the global CFO and Head of Financial Reporting and Accounting to develop the long-term strategy.

How will you make your mark:

• Lead the team of finance professionals on a day-to-day basis, providing direction and support, motivating and coaching the team members
• Ensure appropriate KPI's are monitored and managed, reporting to the CFO on a recurring basis
• Carry out analyses of processes, systems and internal controls, meanwhile improving them. Implement new process and system changes
• Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing processes, as per month-end-closing calendar, including provision and accruals preparation & postings
  
• Ensure reconciliation of the Balance Sheet accounts for all entities on an agreed timely manner
• Provide support to financial reporting note disclosure on both an ad-hoc and recurring basis as required by the Head of Financial Reporting and Accounting
• Approve recording of material financial transactions in the general ledger
• Resolve finance-related issues and queries, work closely with various stakeholders, including finance teams in the member firms
• Be a key player in the project of implementing the new practice management system of KDN, contribute to the design of the system, its implementation and ongoing enhancement.

Main requirements:

• 10+ years of strong experience in Accounting in a multinational environment, with direct responsibility over core finance processes (e.g. Chief Accountant)
• Experience in leading multinational teams of finance professionals
  
• Experience with design and implementation of financial systems
• Experience with managing operations/shared services centers
• Accounting designation is required
• University degree, (preferably) in accounting
  
• Fluency in English
• Outstanding communication skills - both written and spoken
• Strong experience in senior stakeholder management
• Change management experience regarding processes
• Willingness and ability to get hands-on in dealing with complex tasks
• High proficiency with Microsoft products, most notably Excel
• Strong analytical and data-driven mindset
• Audit and/or SOX experience preferred
