Job Purpose

The Financial Analyst reports into KDN Advisory Finance Lead and primarily manages the various cost-based budgeting, forecasting, accruals, and associated accounting activities.

 Responsibilities

• Support budget planning exercise using prior year information at the beginning of the fiscal year
• Setup and ongoing tracking/adjustment of the compensation for budgeted resources and preparation of accruals for the monthly/ yearly reporting cycle
• Follow up with various budget owners/leads on monthly basis to confirm actuals and accruals
• Invoice tracking/ screening/validation/payment status check with MFs, External Contractors, and the KDN Advisory FP&A team
• Creation and maintenance of invoice aging reports, revenue forecasts, and budgeting forecasts
• Monthly review of WIP balances in active engagements, liaising with engagement managers/directors with the question related to WIP valuation
• Supporting monthly and quarterly financial management and reporting processes are followed for KDN Advisory
• Support KDN Advisory Finance Lead and Controller with Adhoc requests, creation, and maintenance of financials spreadsheets, responding to Queries
• Helping KDN Advisory Finance Lead and Controller with the creation of monthly and quarterly reports (project, portfolio, and executive views)
• Adaptable to working on project management and reporting tools that address efficiency and/or new technologies
• Proactively identify gaps in the reporting system, seeking continuous improvements to the mechanisms for internal deliverable and KPI communications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in finance or Accounting; Masters preferred
• 5 years of professional experience managing budgets, setting up cost center hierarchies, reviewing GL transactions and invoices
• Advanced excel and reporting skills
