Budapest is the host to KPMG Global Services Hungary, KPMG’s international compliance services center, which offers indirect tax, corporate tax outsourcing as well as corporate intelligence services to multinational groups covering over 40 countries.
The Tax Global Delivery Network ( GDN) is operationalizing as a formal business unit of KPMG – FY21 is the first year of operation and will see new processes and ways of working built to support the sustainable and efficient operations of a business that will develop and scale centralized tax services.
This role needs to be full time and someone living and breathing the Tax GDN. The GDN runs on an efficient/lean basis and therefore splitting roles is not a possibility here. The role will work closely with the GDN Head of Finance & Development to establish the financial management base for the GDN and subsequently execute against it – taking a strong lead.

Main responsibilities
- Lead the planning, execution, monitoring and closing of projects
- Discuss project team allocation with the relevant Team Leaders
- Manage projects in line with their agreed scope, budget and timeline
- Cooperate closely with Business Owners (and, if applicable, also with Business Analysts)
- Act as one of the escalation and operational decision making points during the project (besides the Project Sponsor and the Business Owner)
- Develop project plan
- Keep the project plan (including budget) and project reports up-to-date
- Follow the change management process as defined in the Project Governance Process Description
- Perform administrative and documentation tasks in projects
- Use Microsoft Project for project planning and reporting purposes
- Provide monthly reports for the Project Board meetings
- Ad-hoc reporting might be needed for the project team
- Provide inputs for continuous process improvement
- Update ISO documents if processes are changed due to projects
Requirements
- College/University degree and relevant working experience specialized in IT/Economics
- 3-5 years of experience in Project Management
- Fluent written and spoken English with good written and oral communication skills
- Good command of Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel, Power Point, Project, Teams)
- LEAN/Six Sigma certificate, PMP, Prince2, or equivalent project management qualification is an advantage
